Pakistan will introduce a free visa policy for Chinese citizens from August 14, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening ties with China, PM Shehbaz announced on Thursday.
The announcement was made during a meeting with a high-level Chinese delegation led by Minister Wang Fukang. PM Shehbaz, who recently visited China, revealed that he had requested President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Qiang to send experts to Pakistan to assist in modelling its economy after China’s successful model. With this partnership, the prime minister intends to bring economic activity to Pakistan and establish profitable joint ventures. The Prime Minister hopes that the delegation’s visit will strengthen Pakistan’s capacity to export superior goods to China and strengthen bilateral ties in important sectors like industry, agriculture, energy, minerals and economic zones. Additionally, he sees possibilities in growing export zones, IT, and mining opportunities.
