The Prime Minister and President of Pakistan paid tribute to martyrs and heroes of the 1965 war. President Asif Ali Zardari praised the efforts of the armed forces in safeguarding the national interests. He also emphasized the value of peace and the necessity to address issues via discussion. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the armed forces for their role in defense.
